9.4.1 Final exam registration
On this interface final exam periods (all periods) announced to the training appear. Here you can see both periods for which you have not registered and which you have (these are highlighted).
The following functions are available at the end of the period line from the options of the Options icon:
- Register/Registration modification - Deregister
- Details
Normally, as long as the final examination period does not expire, the line of the final exam period is displayed on the interface. However, the institution may set the periods to be visible after the registration period. The expired final exam period information can be made visible by checking the "Expired periods too" box situated in the filter block.
Both the start and end of registration period can be seen if registration still can be performed at the current time, namely the registration period has not expired. If the registration period has expired, then no date will be displayed in the start and end of registration period columns, but you can still see the final examination period until the end of the period (or even longer in case of institutional setting).
The institutions have the opportunity to archive the final examination periods. Such archived periods do not appear on the interface.
On the “Final exams” interface those periods for which you have already registered appear in bold and a green tick is displayed in the “Registered” column. In such cases, the “Deregister” label in the “Options”
menu found at the end of the period’s line becomes active by which you are able to drop the period.
The "Details" button is always active, with the help of which you can view more information of any period at any time, regardless of deadlines of the period.
You will see in all cases thebasic data of the final exam subjects and exams belonging to the final exam period in the opening window:
- Subject name, subject code, date of registration, result,
- Date of exam, number, arranged date, exam room, exam result
Final examination period can be announced by the institution in the following modes:
1. Final exam registration period announcement takes place
2. Exam announcement for final exam registration period also takes place, 3. Subject announcement for final exam registration period also takes place
4. Both subject and exam announcement for final exam registration period takes place (subject is joined to exam)
Both subject and exam announcement for final exam registration period takes place (subject is not joined to exam)
1. Registration for only final exam period
If just the final exam registration period announcement takes place, you can only register for the period and later either you will be arranged to the exam by an administrator or you can register in a subsequent period.
You can register for the period by clicking on the “Register/Modify registration” button. After the registration has taken place, the “Deregister” button will be also active. This allows the deregistration only in cases if you have registered only for period.
Registration for final exam period
Your school may define topicsfor the final exam period from which are informed when registering for period before saving in an informational pop-up window.
If you are registering for the period in the usual way, the program will not allow the registration until you select a specified number of topics. In this case, the program navigates you to the "Final exam elements, topics" tab at the same time of the appearance of the information message pop-up window in order to make it clear where you have to make your selection. After you have selected the topics, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window to finalize the operation. Thus the registration for the final exam period takes place and the topics are saved.
The final exam elements, so topics and associated items are displayed hierarchically.
Among topics or even single items there may be elements defined as required by the institution. When saving the period they will be added for sure. In case of such elements the "Register" column value is checked and cannot be changed.
On the other hand, elements of the topics which can be added by the student may be determined as well. You can choose from these kind of elements freely. You can perform your selection from the optional final exam elements in the "Register" column. The information panel displayed in the window informs you about how many final exam topics you have to select.
Naturally, when deregistering form a final exam period, the selected topics will be deregistered as well.
ATTENTION!If you select less topics than required the save is not possible!
You can register for and later deregister from the period by clicking on the “Register/Modify registration” button. In this case, after you click the link you need to select the exam for which you would like to register. You can finalize this with the "Save" button.
When you can only register for exam, then the columns in the pop-up window concerning the subject remain empty. In this case, only the exam dates provide the relevant information.
Your school may definetopicsfor the final exam period which topics and their certain elements can be found on the "Final exam elements, topics" tab in the appearing pop-up window. An information panel also provides information about this on the interface below the "Registered final exam subjects and the related exams" tab.

If the student does not meet the condition(s) of the exam registration, then the registration happens neither for the exam nor the period. The text of the feedback message in this case is: "The exam registration condition has not been fulfilled."
3. Final exam period + subject registration
If subject has been assigned to the period, then the registration process is the same as described in article 2. Naturally, in this case, information will be included in the columns concerning the subject and exam dates will not be displayed in the line.
In cases when registration is made for final exam subject as well, the program will not offer to view and select the final exam topics.
4. Final exam period + subject with exam
If the announcement of the final examination period has taken place in such a way that exam has been assigned to period and subject has been assigned to the exam, then information appears in the subject name/code and exam date columns as well, since it is about an exam and the concerning subject. Thus, by selecting a line your registration for the final exam occasion and for the related subject takes place at once.
In cases when registration is made for final exam subject as well, the program will not offer to view and select the final exam topics.
5. Final exam period + subject + exam
In this case, there is no assignment, soyou can register for final exam subject and exam separately.
In this case, the line concerning the subject and the exam are displayed as well. In the one, information of the subject while of the other one, information of the exam date is loaded (this case is shown in the following picture).
The period for which you have registered or you have been registered appears in bold and it is marked with a green tick.
For details on the registered period, click the " Details" link at the Options in the line of the Final exam period.
You can see detailed information on a certain final exam by clicking the “Details" button at the exam list of the period in the appearing pop-up window if you drag your mouse over theblue informational icon in the
“Description” column(at this time it appears in a tooltip).
By clicking on the “Details" button, you will see the detailed description of the exam in the upper part of the window (if the institution has created one). When using the Details button no operational buttons appear in the pop-up windows, it only serves for viewing.
In cases when registration is made for final exam subject as well, the program will not offer to view and select the final exam topics.
9.4.2 Drop a final exam
If deregistration from the periods has been enabled at the period in the client program, then the “Deregister”
button becomes active, but this is only for deregister from final exam period in which no final exam subjects or exams have been registered.
Deregistration of final exam period
If both exam and subject registration belong to the period, it is not necessary to remove the checkmark from the line of the registered subjects, exams, but by clicking on the “Modify registration/Details” button all the registered exams and subjects will be deleted. In this case, the program informs you about it in a
On deregistration, the possibly selected final exam elements will also be deleted.
9.4.3 Final Exam - exam exchange
Exam exchange is enabled if the students are registered for the final exam occasion by the institution, but the school gives them the right to change the date.
In such cases, the existing pipe must be removed and you have to tick the new occasion and then click the
"Save" button. In case of a successful change the feedback message is: Change of the exam has successfully taken place.
On change, the following restrictions are observed by program:
- One exam can be modified at once
- When changing an examination of a subject, only the date of the exam can be changed, but not the subject If the exam exchange fails, the user will be informed of the restrictions.
