The effect of short-time hypobaric hypoxia and reoxygenation on non-invasively monitored cardiovascular parameters

Mai. S. Szabó, MD: Col. A. Grósz, MD, PhD; Col. G. Szabó, MD Dept, of Aeromedical Research, Kecskemét, Hungary

Besides the clinical manifestation of acute ischaemic syndromes (myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac death, unstable angina) there are more intensive researches in order to study the changes in parameters of contractility and electrical stability responding to sudden modification of oxygen-supply of the myocardium. On the basis of hypobaric chamber tests of our pilots we summarise the human experiences obtained from the evaluation of ECG, pulse rate, blood pressure, transcutaneous oxymetry and other calculated parameters registered during marked hypobaric hypoxia and the phase of reoxygenation.
