Task 3

In connection with research and development as a common policy of the EEC, please do the following task.

Use the internet for this task.

Introduce the 1980s in terms of:

o the economic environment in Europe;

o the technological environment in Europe;

o the major advancements of European integration preceding and succeeding the signature of the Single European Act;

o the Brundtland Report (Our Common Future) and the concept of sustainable development.
