Central and Eastern European region. Following the 2008 global economic cri- sis, China s economic development and global political expansion has entered a new phase. The effect of this phenomenon is exerted on the geopolitical field.

The New Silk Road Program announced by the Chinese government in 2013 is of paramount importance for the future of the Central and Eastern European region. The new commercial opportunities and potential FDI investments re- sulting from the program are desirable for the entire Visegrad Group. In the course of our study, we intend to include several indicators that better illustrate and measure the economic strategy and geopolitical changes of the period China.
