Introduction
In the neck region several diseases can cause differential diagnostic problems. Anatomically it is a very complex part of the body, which also makes diagnosing and differentiating diseases difficult. That is why sound anatomical grounding is indispensable for exact
understanding.
In what follows we shall discuss the most frequent diseases of the neck region, highlighting typical occurrences, their characteristic features, diagnostic, and therapeutic possibilities.
