In earlier studies the improvement of Beenakker TM010 cavity was performed. The cavity was supplemented with a three-electrode type capacitively coupled adapter by which the stability of the MIP discharge could be improved particularly in the case of solution sample introduction.
In present study the application of hydraulic high pressure nebulization (HHPN) for flow injection determination of metallic elements in helium – MIP was developed. When HHPN is interfaced to MIP by radiative heating desolvation system, the linear calibration for Cu, Pb and Cd can be achieved in 3 – 4 order of magnitude and the detection limits were ranged in 1,5 – 20 ng/mL interval. These parameters are very promising regarded the applications for element specific chromatographic detection.
