Dear Student,

The end of the academic year is approaching and many of you will be graduating and leaving CEU. Graduating students are required to ensure that:

a. they have returned all borrowed materials to their departments,

b. they have given back their locker keys and official residency documents (non- Hungarian EU citizens) to Students Life,

c. they do not have any library items in their possession, d. they do not have any outstanding financial issues.

To accomplish all of the above, graduating students need to initiate the “Leaving Procedure” when submitting their thesis at the departments.

A window called ‘Leaving Form’ in your Infosys© account provides you an overview of your progress in the Leaving Procedure. While this online service provides updated information about your progress in the Leaving Procedure, please be reminded that youdo have to visit the offices in question, return the materials in question and take care of the issues involved.Your last stop should be the Budget and Finance Office: please visit all other offices prior to your visit there since the colleagues at the Budget and Finance Office will check whether you have fulfilled all requirements to receive back your deposit.

Please access your Infosys© account at:https://infosys.ceu.hu/ (or if you outside CEU athttps://studentinfo.ceu.hu). Under ‘Personal’, you will find a link called ‘Leaving Form’; click on this link and another window will open.

In the Leaving Form, you will see all necessary issues that need to be settled (under

‘Type’), your status (colored green if everything is settled, red if outstanding), and notes explaining what may be missing.

The main idea is that all the fields in the form have to be coloredgreen. Colleagues in the different offices involved will be checking your status and making the appropriate changes in your leaving form. When you see that afield is red, that means that you either have an outstanding issue with the office involved or that the office is working on checking your status; for example if the field ‘Books’ is red, that means that you either have not returned all borrowed books to the library or that the library is working on your status. If you do not know the reason for the field to be red, please contact the relevant office. A list of offices is included after this document. Under the

‘Notes’ column, you can see any comments from the relevant offices regarding your status.

In the case of the library (under ‘Books’) please make sure that you return any library items in your possession. After you have returned your books, please close your library account by clicking on the ‘close account’ button in the leaving form: you do not need to visit the library. Also, before closing your account, please consider until when you need to use the library services and resources. Do not close your library account if you think that you may need it before the graduation date.

Again, please initiate the Leaving Procedure when submitting your thesis.
