ISAN
The ISAN stands for the International Students and Alumni Network. In the fall of 2019, a group of international students from various faculties formed this student body. The student organization primarily consists of the faculty coordinators, hostel unit coordinators, and one sports coordinator. In addition, the International student ambassadors are also part of the board. However, all active students and graduated students are informally part of the big international community that ISAN represents.
Vision
The long-term vision of ISAN is to establish itself as an efficient student body that represents the international community at the University of Miskolc. In addition, the organization also thrives on establishing a worldwide network of alumni from the University of Miskolc.
Mission
The mission of ISAN is to serve as an active platform for the international student community at the University of Miskolc. To share the umbrella of cultural diversity and create a supportive ecosystem for the international community to flourish and make the most of it during their stay at the campus. Also, the body promotes connecting the alumni with the Alma mater so that the community can join hands for their prosperous careers ahead.

How to become an active position holder at ISAN?
1. President of ISAN –
Serve as the faculty coordinator for at least one year, based on the performance the Director of International relations appoints the president.
2. Student Faculty coordinators –
Applications are open for faculty coordinator after end of each academic year. Students who completed at least one academic semester can apply for the position. The Director of International relations based on your application profile and interview do selection.
3. Hostel Unit coordinator –
Applications are open for faculty coordinator after end of each academic year. Students who completed at least one academic semester can apply for the position. The Director of International relations based on your application profile and interview do selection. You should working closely with the present coordinator.
4. Sports Unit coordinator --
Applications are open for faculty coordinator after end of each academic year. Students who completed at least one academic semester can apply for the position. The Director of International relations based on your application profile and interview do selection. You should working closely with the present coordinator.
5. International Student Ambassador –
The rector of the university awards the ISA position once in an academic year. The recommendation for this position comes from the Deans office of the respective faculties.
Mostly, the selection is based on your excellent performance in academic and social efforts.
